Was in a double-showing this month. A Group Urban showing at The Satellite and a Two-Man show with my friend Jason Bagge. So honored. Wish I would've shot more photos. These few are tasty though. Special thanks to Josh Rocco for everything. You're so good at what you love to do.

STUPEFY
GROUP PHOTO AND ZINE EXHIBIT. BRISTOL, UK
10/4/13
I was super thrilled to announce last week that I was to be in my first out of the country (Bristol, UK to be exact) film photography/zine exhibit put on by OGA (One Giant Arm) alongside 80+ other photographers. I had been chomping at the bit hoping my submissions would make the open call deadline and to my surprise, I spotted my photo tube below in the pile which contained a few of my prints! Big Thanks to Tommy and everyone at OGA. I wish I could've been there in person, but it felt so good to see my work a zillion miles away. There are also a few snapshots below that in which I spotted two of my prints. Please go to the link below though to view the entire exhibit. So rad!

Sixteen area artists made a 20 x 20 inch canvas turned corner side down. The result...all hung together in a grid pattern on one wall at the Saranac Public House. First Friday opening night featured live multi-person drawings to original production and DJing by Doc Zay & Redking!
Probably one of the funnest group showings I was apart of. As I came in and turned the corner the display was so striking. Was very exciting to see what each artist was inspired to do. No one knew what the other was to paint. Very cool. Big thanks to JKC for putting it on!
Pieces are available and on display at the Saranac Public House through the end of September. Ya gotta get down there to experience the real thing.

Here are just a few snapshots that I took from the showing at Jones Radiator earlier this month. What a fantastic evening visiting with friends and meeting new people. As you can see, my artwork was the least on my mind (not pictured... except the video). I thoroughly enjoyed soaking up some Dead Serious Lovers! They did a tremendous job as always. Thanks guys for playing at my showing. What an honor!

TWO-MAN SHOW
7-10/2012
When I was asked to show my work again at The Lincoln Center a few months ago, I knew I didn't have enough pieces of my newest works to fill the gallery for a solo show and definitely didn't want to put any repeats up from older work I had shown before. I had previously been contemplating on asking my friend and fellow local artist, JKC, if he'd be interested in doing some collaborated work...playing off of each others styles. I actually envisioned a sort of Warhol/Basquiat-ish mesh. Of course the comparison is quite unreasonable to think about, but the general idea of two styles converging together creating a new vibe sounded cool. We only did one piece (first photo below), but I'm hoping we can collaborate on a future two-man show only showcasing our meshed styles. Thanks again Jason!

TERRAIN 5, 2012
10/5/12
"We All Build This" was the theme for this year's Terrain 5 and how appropriate the term was. It was another super successful year and probably my favorite Terrain as of yet. Each year seems to outdo the last! This year, the third level of the building was opened up for more space to display artwork from our 104 emerging local and regional artists involved. There was also a literature park laid with sod. Here, our local Broken Mic Poets read as the crowd chilled in the grassy area and listened. There were even swings to swing on. We had Seven 2's Draw Off where two teams battled it out with pens, pencil, paint, and a theme. All media included: Visual art, sculpture, graffiti, film, installation, photography, interactive art, fiber art... . We had two stages for live music which included guest, Seattle's OCNotes and many of our own local bands including Velella Velella, Terrible Buttons, DJ Locke, The Static Tones. The list goes on and on. Actually 8 hours of live music! Below are shots that I mostly took with a little digital I borrowed. The black and whites are from my film camera, mixed with a couple courtesy photos. Cheers to another great year!
Sweet mural/graffiti art in the bar section by Nory.

Ruben Villareal!! In both top frame and frame right below. Good
friend and rad guy. I also own a few of his pieces.
This interactive project allowed people (both male and female) to
go in, share what they didn't like about their body and release those
negative thoughts by writing it upon the girl's body inside. She then
had the person write it on a piece of paper where she would then
tell the person, she figuratively would take all that upon herself.
Good friends Allen and Chris reading poetry via video. Cool dudes!
Second Mohawk I've seen and shot in one month. Love it.

THE PLANETS AND THE SOUNDWAVES FIRST FRIDAY @ THE BABY BAR
3/2/12. A fabulous show! A lot of people came through on this First Friday and at some
points in the evening there was standing room only (It IS a baby bar...). I was overwhelmed
by the support. Thanks for coming out, it's always fun to celebrate with family and friends!
Be sure to get down to the Baby Bar before March ends if you haven't had a chance to check
out the mural. It's magical to see in person. A lot of good shows happening and poetry nights.
Also, A big thank you to Patty and Pk. Your'e the best!

LIPSTICK & ROUGE JURIED EXHIBITION
12/03/10
On this cold, snowy, wintery night, a friend and
I stopped by a few galleries to see some local
art before heading back over to Second Space
Gallery, for the Lipstick & Rouge Artist Reception.
At the Kolva-Sullivan Gallery, Matt Boland's
'Scream & Shine' exhibit featuring his very cool
sculptural ceramics were the highlight of our
artists I had never met as well as a handful of art
from as far away as Baltimore and Kansas City.
What a great collective group and a big thanks
