Boo Boo Turns 5!

Five years ago, we found baby Wolfgang
sitting in a cage in his own urine begging
for us to take him home. So glad we did.
Happy Birthday Wolfy!

Sweet Surprise!

Photobucket

Was down at Boo Radley's Bookstore/
giftshop earlier and discovered this!
Didn't know my artwork was on the back
of Magazine, Issue #4. Bought it of course
and am excited to read the poetry from our
local poets too.

I highly recommend checking
out RiverLit and supporting our local
poets/artists.

This music is absolutely delightful. Happiest music you'll ever
hear!
My good friend David Plell has just released his newest album,
"Ask For Dust".

You can download the album for free or donate at:
davidplell.bandcamp.com .... definitely worth giving a donation.

You can also see more of his videos on youtube. Just look up:
nicecoatdude.

Lyrics for Sanpo:
A walk, heat that makes you think the sun could fall
and clouds are flying in the sky
I plop myself down on a bench
and suddenly this bright sunset

SOWING SEEDS OF LOVE

Photobucket
FUZZY FACE

The past few days have been beautiful. I
had the chance to sow and tuck a lot of baby
seed (that I harvested from last year) into
their garden beds which consists of a variety
of 5'-12' sunflowers mixed with medium and
ground coverage types of florals.

The vegetable garden is simple. Four varieties
of tomato, cilantro, onion, jalapeño, sweet basil
and zucchini. Soo looking forward to using
these ingredients for various recipes and dishes.

As I labor to plant these seedlings into the soil,
I couldn't help but stare in awe as they lay in the
palm of my hand, knowing that life emerges from
these tiny things. We all... mankind, animals,
nature, reproduce and from seed.

What an amazing, powerful thing to think about,
knowing that some of the best things in life come
from little things.

I feel grateful.

Poo for the Garden...

So I bought some manure/compost last week and tilled
it into the garden beds. Upon purchasing the $1.50 bag
of poo... I found myself goin' all Portlandia on it. I wanted
some solid answers about this steer, ya know?!

"Taggers VS Architects"/Seven 2 Draw Off @ The MAC

This last Friday evening me and some friends hit
Begin @The MAC (a monthly First Friday Event
held at The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture).
Art, Music, and Hors d'oeuvres are always on the
menu.

Seven 2 Draw off , a live 3 on 3 art battle, was one of
the evenings features...
"Taggers vs Architects."

Based on the vote of the crowd via cell phone, the
winners would be the Architects on this round.

Great job. So fun to watch.

PNW CREW GETS UN3 FINALIST ON THE BERRICS!

Photobucket

It may be Friday the 13th but it's definitely a lucky day
for good friend and filmer, Joel Barbour and the guys.

Out of 880 street skate videos submitted world wide,
Joel's film made the top 8 finalists, and is representing
the Pacific Northwest and Spokane, WA!

I heard official voting will be up by next week when all
8 videos have been posted. "Liking" it though, will help
spread the word about it. Please support the PNW crew.
I mean, this is huge and is largely contributing to the history
and recognition of Spokane Skaters.

I may be a little partial only because my son, 'Doc Brown' is one
of skaters. I've also had the privilege of watching a few of these
guys grow up... even serving them many o'quesadillas and oven
pancakes at my dining room table. So this makes it extra cool.

Aside from that, there all just damn good skaters!

Now watch the clip!
