8:45 a.m.
My alarm goes off at 8:45a.m.
Still tired I turn it off, roll over, and fall back asleep.
I begin to dream.
A lucid dream.
I'm out kneeling in the Sunflower garden weeding when I sense a presence coming up from behind me to my left. I turn and see him happily approaching me...smiling with honey colored eyes intently fixed upon mine.
"Wubby" I exclaim as I open my arms to hug him. As he comes in closer, sits, and rests his head upon my shoulder, in my mind I think, "This is only a dream. When I hug him, he'll disappear like a hologram."
We hug.
I feel the weight of his chin resting upon my shoulder...so close.
My arms wrapped around his soft, wavy, black and caramelized fur covering his dense 100lb body.
He reciprocates. It feels good. Everything's ok.
I wake up.
I cry.

A River Runs Through My City
Named after the Salish speaking Native American Tribe (Spokanes), the beautiful Spokane River runs through the heart of my city, Spokane, meaning "Children of The Sun." The Spokanes lived by and fished on the Spokane River. This river inhabits Rainbow Trout, Northern Pikeminnow, Bridgelip Suckers, as well as other non-native species. Today our metropolitan area (pop. 425,000) is the largest human settlement on the banks of the Spokane River. I've lived here for 33 years and am proud to be a Spokanite.

ハッピーバースデーデビッド David Plell!
This is David and today is his birthday. If you know David, you will also know that he's an amazing musician and friend and is one of the kindest humans you will ever meet. I remember one of the first few times I had met David (about 7 years ago), I bartered one of my art pieces for two of his band t-shirts down at the old Empyrean. I think I got the better end of the deal! We've been friends ever since. In September he flew in from Tokyo and played a quick show at Boots. It was a really nice warm gathering of close friends and fans. I know Tokyo's a day ahead of us but, ハッピーバースデーデビッド to the raddest David Plell!

THE COLLECTIVE PREMIERE
This past October 29th, 2013 our great community of skaters and skate lovers converged into the historical Garland Theatre to see the premiere of THE COLLECTIVE. A film presented by Pistole Boardshop, filmed by Mike Miller, featuring some of Spokane's finest street skaters: Andrew Moore, Johnny Helgren, Keaten Winger, Morgan Lassley, Korey Orloff, Taylor Lewis and more. The "more" would also include my boy Seth Ramirez. So proud of our skaters... our city. Great job you guys!
